So here we are and here it is, my first "real" post here.
Today I have been Christmas Shopping in 6inches of snow and about -2 degrees in temperature, and my mind was wondering. I was a bit distant from what was going on and just in my own little world which is in fact unlike me, I'm usually more lively than what I was.
So I got to thinking about well everything, from the holidays to what I was going to do when I got home, but that isn't what I'm going to write about today.
Allow me to paint a picture to get you into the scene I'm going to try and set with my B Grade English skills.
It was just last Tuesday, and I was supposed to be at school but I was too busy hibernating due to the terrible snow. It was about 3pm'ish and I was grabbing my coat to leave for the hairdressers when I got a phone call from my friend, and he had gave me a distressing message.
My friend told me that at school that day my other friend was told he should change his personality and be a different person. After being told this I was enraged, especially after hearing who was giving this "advice". So anyways my friend who called told me to ring my other friend who was told this. I was running late so I planned to call him after my appointment.
After my appointment at the hairdressers I made the phone call immediately and asked him what happend but in my friend's typical fashion he was being reluctant. After squeezing the story out of him I learnt of how he reacted to it and how self-conscience he is - it was no secret he was upset.
After that situation I thought about all the examples of people just changing personalities and I have seen how dishonest they have become. Nothing has annoid me more when people just go against who they really are and how people change just to impress others. It just makes me think what is the point in living if we are not living the life we were born to lead?
Allow me to explain what I mean by "the life we were born to lead". I personally believe that everything that ever happens in someones life contributes to what that person is like today. I think that everybody's experiences and everything everybody goes through makes up what they are and that if you suddenly change your ways for the wrong reasons you are just going to live a lie.
People living a lie is something I have always detested and something I hope to never do.
We should all be who we are for the right reasons and not change just to impress others, I have seen a few people who have changed and it looks like they always have a fake smile on their faces.
